‘Twas The Night!

Dirt Devil 2

‘Twas the night before Christmas

And all through the house

A loud, obnoxious noise

So loud it woke up the mouse

The little, red devil

Pushed forward and back

Across the soft carpet

Trying to clean up the shack

The family is coming

They’re basically here

What’s that on the carpet?

Wow, what a smear

To the rescue he came

Right out of the smoke

He brought the red devil

He was such a good bloke

That little red devil

It put up a good fight

But that little smear

Sure held on tight

The little red devil

Couldn’t win the battle

Maybe he should stomp it

Tromp it like cattle

Nothing was working

To pull up that dust

Off of the carpet

It was time to adjust

Grabbing the devil

And up the ladder he went

Looking like Santa

Oh, the money he had spent

But the little red devil

The dust could not trap

Simply because

It was a big piece of crap

Stepping to the edge

He looked thirty feet down

His nose was so red

He felt like a clown

Above his head

The devil’s end, it was near

He threw with all his might

Not even a fear

The devil did fall

And landed with a crash

Pieces scattered everywhere

Wow, what a splash

The carnage was great

A crime scene no doubt

But it was no problem

Our hero stood stout

A smile of relief

Crawled onto his face

Because he knew that tomorrow he would be going to Target to finally buy a vacuum cleaner that actually worked and “sucked” like it was supposed to.

  1. Dude you got too much time on your hands!

  2. Gotta wonder if what Jody wrote is true. 🙂 However, we bought one of those worthless things as well and the only thing that saved its fate like that was the reality I was going to have a bigger mess to clean up…without a vacuum cleaner. We finally went to Target and bought an Orek. Good to hear from you Stan, even if it was a devil of a “poem.”
